WHL Player of the Week
Calgary – The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is defenseman Dylan Yeo of the Calgary Hitmen.
Yeo earned player of the week honours by recording two goals and seven points in three games during the week of January 1st to January 8th, helping the Hitmen to two wins and a loss in that span.
On Wednesday, January 3rd, Yeo recorded one goal – the game-winner – and two assists to lead the Hitmen to a 6-2 victory over the visiting Prince Albert Raiders. He was also named the game’s 2nd Star.
On Friday, January 5th, Yeo notched an assist as the Lethbridge Hurricanes beat the Hitmen 4-3 in Calgary.
On Saturday, January 6th, Yeo scored one goal and added two assists, and had a +2 rating as the Hitmen beat the Hurricanes 7-6 in a shootout in Lethbridge.
Yeo, a 20-year-old product of Prince Albert, SK, is in his fourth season in the WHL, and is a Free Agent.
Honourable mention goes to Zach Boychuk of the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
