Fadden Named BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week

Calgary – The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is forward Mitch Fadden of the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Fadden earned player of the week honours by recording seven goals and 12 points in four games during the week of January 29th to February 4th, helping the Hurricanes to a 3-1 record in that span.

On Tuesday, January 30th, Fadden recorded three goals and an assist in a 5-4 defeat to the Pats in Regina. He was named the game’s 2nd star for his efforts.

On Wednesday, January 31st, Fadden scored his second consecutive hat trick and added an assist to lead the Hurricanes to a 6-5 shootout win over the Wheat Kings in Brandon. He was also named the game’s 1st Star.

On Friday, February 2nd, Fadden notched his third straight four-point game with a goal and three assists, and earned the game’s 1st Star as the Hurricanes skated to a 7-5 road victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Fadden, an 18-year-old product of Victoria, B.C., is in his third season in the WHL, and currently ranks 10th in League scoring with 28 goals and 61 points in 53 games this season.

Honourable mention goes to Devin Setoguchi of the Prince George Cougars.

The WHL has also nominated Derek Yeomans of the Seattle Thunderbirds for the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week award.
