Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League announced today that Mitch
Fadden of the Lethbridge Hurricanes is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday February 4, 2007 after scoring seven goals and five assists for 12 points in four games.
Fadden, an 18-year-old from Victoria, BC, started the week with three goals and an assist in a 5-4 loss to the Regina Pats on January 30. He added another hat trick and an assist and was the first star in a 6-5 shootout win over the Brandon Wheat Kings on January 31, was the first star again when scored a goal and three assists in a 7-5 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on February 2 and was held off the score sheet in his final game of the week, a 4-2 win over the Saskatoon Blades on February 2.
Tyler Donati of the Belleville Bulls was the OHL nominee after scoring three goals and eight assists for 11 points in three games and Maxime Gratchev of the Rimouski Oceanic was the QMJHL nominee after scoring five goals and one assist in six games last week.
