Loverock Named OHL Player of the Week

Toronto – The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Mississauga IceDogs’ goaltender Andrew Loverock is the OHL Player of the Week for the week ending February 18, 2007. Loverock had a 3-0-0 record with a 1.330 goals against average and a 0.962 save percentage.

On Wednesday, he made 36 saves in a 4-1 win at home against the Owen Sound Attack. Friday night, he stopped 22 shots, earning his first shut-out of the season in a 5-0 road victory over the Brampton Battalion. On Sunday, Loverock made 44 saves finishing the weekend with a 6-3 road win over the Ottawa 67’s.

The 17-year-old Phelpston, Ontario native currently has 25 wins as a rookie, and is undefeated in the month of February.
