In only two games, Desharnais recorded two goals and four assists. Moreover, he had a hand in 6 of the team’s 8 goals to help the Saguenéens register two important wins. Last Friday, Desharnais collected four points in a 4-3 victory over the Océanic while earning first star honours. Then on Saturday, the feisty forward had a goal and an assist to help his team defeat the Remparts 4-2. Over the course of the game, Desharnais was stellar in the face-off circle, winning 21 of 28 draws. He is seventh in the scoring race with a total of 92 points.
David Perron (3-3-6) of the MAINEiacs, Michael Frolik (4-5-9) of the Océanic and Danick Bouchard (4-4-8) of the Cataractes were also considered.
The defensive player of the week award goes to Maxime Dubuc. In four games, the 18 year-old defenseman registered one goal and four assists while maintaining a +7 differential for the surging Fog Devils. He played his best game of the week against the Cataractes last Wednesday as he notched two helpers and maintained a +3 differential in a 9-5 win. "In the absence of defensemen Luke Gallant and Pat O’Keefe due to injuries, Dubuc has been a key element of our defensive brigade," noted Fog Devils head coach Réal Paiement.
Goaltenders Jean-Christophe Blanchard (2-1-0; 156 MIN; 2.30 GAA; .939 SAV %) of the Tigres and Antoine Lafleur (2-1-0; 185 MIN; 2.59 GAA; .924 SAV %) of the Rocket as well as defenseman Jean-Philippe Paquet (1-5-6; +3) of the Drakkar were also considered.
