Geoff Walker Named CHL Player of the Week

Toronto, ON – The Canadian Hockey League announced today that Geoff Walker
of the PEI Rocket is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday
February 25, 2007 after scoring three goals and four assists for seven
points in two games.

Walker scored a goal and assisted on three others in a 6-5 overtime win over
the Moncton Wildcats on February 21 and then scored two goals and added an
assist in a 5-2 win over the Halifax Mooseheads on February 25. The
19-year-old from Charlottetown, PEI has 29 goals and 50 assists for 79
points in 61 games this season.

Aaron Gagnon of the Seattle Thunderbirds was the WHL nominee after scoring
six goals and one assist in three games and Wayne Simmonds of the Owen Sound
Attack was the OHL nominee after scoring two goals and five assists in three
games.
