Kevin Desfosses Named ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Quebec Remparts goaltender Kevin Desfosses is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending September 23, 2007.

Desfosses, a 20 year-old native of Beauport, Quebec registered two shutout victories this past week. Desfosses turned aside all 30 shots on Friday, September 21, 2007 defeating the Val dÕOr Foreurs 2-0. The following night, Desfosses stopped all 21 shots he faced to earn a 3-0 victory over the Baie-Comeau Drakkar.

Martin Jones of the Calgary Hitmen was the WHL goaltender nominee after posting a 1.00 goals against average and a .962 save percentage. Adam Courchaine of the Ottawa 67Õs was the OHL Goaltender nominee after posting a 2.00 goals against average and a .951 save percentage during two regular season games.

Each week the CHL recognizes the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week and will present the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Year Award to the CHL’s top netminder at the conclusion of the 2007-08 season.
