Toronto – The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Josh Unice of the Kitchener Rangers is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Sunday October 28, 2007. Unice posted two shutout victories last week recording a 0.00 goals-against-average and a 1.00 save percentage.
On Wednesday, October 24th, Unice turned aside 24 shots leading the Rangers to a 7-0 victory over the Erie Otters. On Sunday, October 28th, the 18 year-old native of Holland, OH stopped 21 shots earning a 3-0 win over their Midwest Division rivals, the London Knights.
Unice is enjoying his rookie season in the Ontario Hockey League as a member of the Kitchener Rangers.
Timo Pielmeier of the St. John’s Fog Devils was the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with a 2-0 record, including a shutout, while maintaining a 1.00 goals-against-average and a .975 save percentage. Ryan Holfeld of the Medicine Hat Tigers was the Western Hockey League nominee with a 1-0-1 record, a 0.97 goals-against-average and a .959 save percentage.
