Team USA won three of their four games in the preliminary round of the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship, but it wasn’t enough to land the top spot in Group A as Russia went undefeated in preliminary round action. As a result, the U.S. will head to a quarter-final matchup against the Czech Republic. Read more »

Team USA had a mostly successful run through the preliminary round of the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship, winning three of their four contests while outscoring their opponents, 30 goals to 8. The one blemish on the USA’s record is their opening 3-1 loss to Russia, the team they are presently tied with at the top of Group A (pending the result of Russia’s game vs. Sweden). Read more »

Finland has made an impressive run so far through the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship, winning their first three games while outscoring their opponents, 12 goals to 3. The Finns must now defeat Canada for Group B supremacy in their final game before the U18 playoff round. Read more »

Team Finland has had a successful start to the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship taking place in Zug and Lucerne, Switzerland. The Finns have won their first three games of the tournament, and are currently tied with Canada for the top spot in Group B. The two countries will square off Tuesday to determine which one will enter the playoff round as that group’s top squad. Read more »

Although they are tied with Switzerland for the bottom position in Group B at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship, Team Latvia’s performance at this tournament has not been without its good points. The team has generally been competitive in each of their games, and they did manage to produce six goals against Canada. Read more »
