History

2005-06: Esposito had a very strong rookie season for the Remparts.  Playing in just 57 games, Esposito led all Remparts rookies in points (98), goals (39), and assists (59).  Despite missing 13 games, Esposito finished second among QMJHL rookies in points, a tie for first in goals, second in assists, first in plus/minus (+42), and second in short-handed goals (5).  His offensive accomplishments were rewarded with Offensive Player of the Week honors once and Offensive Rookie of the Month honors twice.  At the end of the season, Esposito was awarded The Michel Bergeron Trophy, awarded annually to the Offensive Rookie of the Year.  He was also named to the Rookie All-Star team

2006-07: Esposito continued his strong play in the 2006 Memorial Cup.  He recorded 5 points (one goal, four assists) in four games.  He was named to the QMJHL team for the 2006 Canada-Russia Challenge.  His three points (three assists) were tied for the Team QMJHL lead.  He was one of the 40 players selected to play in the 2007 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.  Through 39 games this season, Esposito has 61 points (19 goals, 42 assists).

Talent Analysis

A skilled playmaker,  Esposito's puck-handling and creative talents are on par with many of the best to have come through the QMJHL in the past several seasons. He is an excellent skater with great drive to the net and excellent hands. While he does run into occasional consistency issues, and could stand to work harder in traffic, the biggest of the rumored concerns - that of his attitude - has been far blown out of proportion.
