History
His 2003-04 stats were not reflective of his true potential. He had to earn his playing time in the RSL as a young player, which is a task in itself.
2007-08: In his fifth season with CSKA Moscow (RHL), Parshin recorded 35 points in 56 games. He finished fourth on the team in goals and fifth in points. He also posted one point in six playoff games.
Talent Analysis
Parshin was the purest stickhandler that the 2004 draft had to offer. The only downside is his size at 5'9. He has a problem using his body effectively and gets pushed around quite often. He is a fast, skilled winger that has skated with some of Russia’s best talent in the Super League as well as in international competition. He has great moves and can dodge contact. Other players have a hard keeping up with him when he hits his full stride. He can score and distribute the puck evenly. He has an excellent wrist shot and can be a consistent point producer. He has great knowledge of the game and very good instincts.
