History
The lone German selected in the 2005 NHL Draft, Philippe Gogulla spent the 2004-05 season with Cologne of the German Elite League. Gogulla has also spent time with the junior German National program.
2007-08: Gogulla recorded 44 points in 51 games, and an additional 12 points in 14 postseason appearances in his fourth season with Cologne (DEL).
Talent Analysis
With good size and an ability to set up teammates, Gogulla can be an effective player on offense. He is not a gifted player in the open ice, but can contribute along the boards and in the corners.
Future
After taking a step forward in the top German league, Gogulla will need to prove himself in the AHL if he wants to ultimately make the Buffalo roster.
