History
2006-07: Cavanagh was voted as Worcester’s Unsung Hero, and rightly so, for the Sharks’ forward has received little fanfare for his role on the team. In his second professional season, Cavanagh was a key part of Worcester’s penalty-killing unit, and on a whole, he improved upon his rookie season. He more
than doubled his point totals, up from 21 total points in the 2005-06 season to 44 points in 74 games during the 2006-07 season. He is establishing himself as a solid two-way forward at the pro level, with good skating ability and strong work ethic. He served as one of the Sharks alternate captains this season.

Future
He is inching his way closer to a shot in the NHL, where, at the very least, he could see fourth-line duty.
