History
2006-07: Krupp, the son of former NHL defenseman Uwe Krupp, skated for the TPH Thunder midget team in Huntsville, Alabama and was selected by the Belleville Bulls in the second round (36th overall) of the 2007 OHL Priority Selection.
2007-08: Krupp spent the season with the US National Team Development Program. In 43 games he had 3 assists with 40 PMs. In six games at the World U17 Hockey Challenge he was scoreless with 4 PMs.
2008-09: Krupp played in 57 games for the Belleville Bulls (OHL), scoring one goal and adding three assists. He registered 22 penalty minutes and was a +9 for the season. In 17 playoff games for the Bulls, he did not register a point.
2009-10: Krupp played for the Minnesota Wild's Traverse City prospect team and was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract in September 2009. He returned to Belleville for his second OHL season; skating in 67 games for the Bulls. He had 11 assists with 53 PMs and was a discouraging -42 on a Belleville team that had the OHL's second-worst record.
2010-11: Krupp returned to Belleville for a third OHL season with only marginally better results. He skated in 61 of 68 games, scoring 1 goal with 10 assists, and was -35 with 54 PMs. The Bulls slipped into the playoffs despite winning just 21 games but held high-flying Mississauga St. Michael's to 11 goals in four playoff games (unfortunately Bellville scored once). Krupp was -3 with 2 PMs for the series.
Talent Analysis
Krupp certainly has the size to eventually become an NHL defenseman. He is responsible in his own end of the ice, but lacks skill. He'll be a defensive defenseman.
Future
Krupp is now playing for the Cologne Sharks in Germany. Bottom-pairing defender.
