Talent Analysis
It would be easy to take Mikael Tam at face value and discount him simply because he's an undersized defenseman. But somehow, despite being listed at 5'10 and 181 pounds, Tam plays an effective two-way game. Sure, he has his struggles with larger forwards and his skating isn't outstanding, but the Quebec native playing in front of his hometown crowd does not back down from anyone, as evidenced from his two years of 100+ penalty minutes.
