Adam Cracknell was drafted as a 19-year-old with one of the last selections of the 2004 draft. Cracknell’s size and work ethic got him noticed by the Calgary Flames’ brass, who chose him in the ninth round of the 2004 NHL Draft.
2007-08: Cracknell was recalled from the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL) on Nov. 21. After appearing in four AHL games with Quad City, he returned to Las Vegas on Dec. 17. He appeared in 61 games and was a member of a Wranglers squad that recorded the best regular season record in the ECHL’s National Conference. He finished the season with 29 goals and 30 assists. He led the Wranglers in post-season points (22) and goals (nine) while tying for the team lead in post-season assists (13).
Cracknell was claimed off of waivers by the Edmonton Oilers at the 2016 NHL Trade Deadline.
