History
2005-06: His second season with Ak Bars was more successful than the first campaign. Pervyshin appeared in 48 regular season games and posted three goals and six assists. He was scoreless with three assists in 57 games last year. His +9 rating was sixth-best on the team and third-best among the team's defensemen. Pervyshin played in every game in playoffs and helped his team to their first title since 1998.
2006-07: Pervyshin enjoyed a very strong season with Ak Bars Kazan. He set career highs in goals, assists, and points. His physical game was much more noticeable (71 penalty minutes), and he finished a very impressive plus-24. He was also a key contributor in the playoffs, scoring five points in 12 games.
Talent Analysis
Pervyshin may be undersized for a blueliner, but he won’t back down. He is very capable in his own zone, but also possesses some offensive touch. He is known to play a very smart game thanks to his good hockey sense.
Future
Continues to play in Russia, but as his play continually improves, this late round pick may have made his way onto St. Louis’ radar.
