The Boston Bruins have turned to some of their young guns like Reilly Smith, Dougie Hamilton, Torey Krug and others to jump into the lineup and produce right away. With the Bruins’ current cap troubles, there is a good chance that top prospects like David Pastrnak, Ryan Spooner, and Alexander Khokhlachev will be to do the same.

The Boston Bruins 2013-14 season did not end the way the Bruins hoped and were exposed by a very skilled and quick Montreal Canadiens team. There will be changes this offseason and that could start right at the NHL Draft. The Bruins will likely be active on the trade market, and could dangle some of their top prospects as trade bait.

There are not too many significant changes to the Boston Bruins Spring Top 20. There were a couple notable graduations however, led by former number one prospect Dougie Hamilton.

The Boston Bruins have stockpiled prospects and the Providence Bruins are starting to see some of those players shine. Multiple prospects are starting to see time at the NHL too as the Bruins have dealt with the injury bug this season.

The Boston Bruins have not been afraid to acquire prospects, whether by draft or trade. Love it or hate it, the Tyler Seguin trade gave the Bruins even more depth in their minor league system. Reilly Smith is currently in the NHL while Matt Fraser and Joe Morrow are considered to be close to NHL ready and valuable commodities.
