History

Fans of Yale Hockey didn’t have much to get excited about this season, but one player that provided some excitement was freshman Blair Yaworski. He led the Bulldogs rookies in scoring with 18 points (5 goals, 13 assists) playing in all 32 games this season. His 13 assists ranked him third on the team. Yaworski was also third on the team in penalty minutes with 45.

Talent Analysis

Yaworski is an excellent two-way forward who combines good size with skill and grit. He is a very good skater with speed and good acceleration. He is outstanding along the boards and the corners and will drive to the net hard and often. Yaworski is hard working, competitive and relentless in battles for the puck. He possesses a blisteringly hard shot. He is a player who is defensively responsible and has no trouble helping out his defensemen. He’s also a player who is willing to get involved in the physical side of the game. While Yaworski possesses very good hockey sense, improvement in his decision-making should come with his maturity as a collegiate player.
