Profile Contributed By: Jesse Gill

History

The SJHL had their first of two draftees this year with defenseman 18-year-old Brennan Turner of the Notre Dame Hounds going 134th overall in the fifth round to the Chicago Blackhawks. Turner will attend Yale in the fall.

Talent Analysis

Turner is a big physical defenseman who had 17 points and 207 PIMs in 2004-05. He will need to improve his skating to make the jump to the NHL but is very willing to do the hard work necessary to become a better player.

Future

He may require some time in the minors even after finishing college. With his size he could become a punishing NHL defenseman in the distant future.
