History
After five seasons, one WHL championship, one Memorial Cup championship, and three years as captain of the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets, overager Brett Palin was signed as a free agent by the Calgary Flames on August 5th, 2005. In the preceding year he was instrumental in helping his team to the Memorial Cup. While on the way, he played a huge role in both shutting down Gilbert Brule and his Vancouver Giants, and scoring big time, clutch goals like the game winner versus the Medicine Hat Tigers in a tension filled round robin Memorial Cup game.
