History

Pitton started playing hockey for the Brampton Youth Hockey Association in 1996-97. He is the first graduate of the BYHA to play for the Brampton Battalion; he was drafted in the sixth round of the 2004 OHL Draft,

2004-05: Pitton played for the Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Provincial Junior A League. He played incredibly well posting a 24-7-3 record with a GAA of 2.93 and two shutouts. He was named Wellington’s Rookie of the Year.

2005-06: Pitton shared goaltending duties with Daren Machesney during his rookie season, but when he was given the opportunity to play, he played very well. In 24 appearances Pitton went 16-4 with a GAA of 3.43 and a save percentage of .904. He tied Machesney record for rookie wins. Pitton went on to win his last seven games.
