History
Gunnarsson was passed over in the draft for three straight years before being selected in 2007. In 30 games during the 2006-07 season with Linkoping of Sweden's Elite League, he posted only two goals and two assists.
2007-08: Gunnarsson continued with Linkopings HC (SWE), netting two goals and seven assists in 53 games with the club. He saw additional success in the playoffs, recording four more helpers in 16 postseason games.
