History
Doyle had some issues that caused him to drop this far in the draft, however, there never were any questions about his offensive prowess.
2008-09: Among the top 25 in scoring in the QMJHL this season, Doyle has continued to develop offensively and is expected to be a top producer in the Q next season.
The questions that have surrounded him for the past couple of years concern work ethic and a lack of two-way play. Doyle's plus/minus rating remains low, however, he is working toward becoming more of a player in both zones. Additionally, he has been working all season on his conditioning.
Talent Analysis
Doyle has great offensive talent, with a pro shot. An average skater with questionable work habits, Doyle needs to improve his conditioning to be successful at the next level.
Future
It remains to be seen as to whether Doyle can change his habits sufficiently to fulfill his potential. Look for him to spend another year in the CHL prior to the Rangers considering giving Doyle an entry-level NHL contract.
