History

Picked up 7 points in 6 games at the 2004 Under 17 championships and helped lead Team Ontario to a gold medal. He played on one of their top lines and went head to head with the top lines of opposing teams. Played in the 2005 CHL Top Prospects Game.

2006-07: Lawrence was the turnaround story of the year in the Lightning organization after a breakout 47-goal performance in his final year in the OHL.

2007-08: His first professional season did not result in much production, as Lawrence was buried on the depth chart and had the middle of his season derailed by a shoulder injury that kept him on the shelf for several weeks.

Talent Analysis

Lawrence has a lot of offensive tools but he hasn’t put them together yet with the drive needed in pro hockey. But with his package of size, skill and skating, he could be a force when he does put it together. Needs to get stronger, play more physical and be more consistent.

Future

Lawrence needs to put in some hard work, and stick in the AHL.
