History

2005-06: Zarb completed his rookie season at Ferris State earning regular duty as one of the FSU’s top defensemen, playing alongside sophomore Jim Jorgenson. The Waterford, MI native posted ten points (all assists). Zarb posted his first career point back on October 15th versus Army in the Maverick Stampede Tournament. His most memorable performance came a week later on October 21st, when he posted two assists and was a plus-2 in helping FSU to a 4-4 tie with Lake Superior State.

Talent Analysis

Zarb is a tall, lanky offensive-minded defenseman. While he has yet to post his first collegiate goal, Zarb possesses great poise and confidence with the puck. He can make very nice outlet passes and has no trouble moving with the puck. He has the ability to jump up into plays and will do so whenever the opportunity presents itself. Zarb is a fluid skater with nice, long strides. He spent time this past season as one of the quarterbacks on the Bulldogs power play unit. He is a smart player with good on-ice vision that works and competes hard. He possesses a hard, fairly accurate shot. Two areas that Zarb will need to continue improving to be successful at the next level is to get stronger and be more physically involved.
