History

Trivino scored 58 points (24 goals) in 49 games for Junior A Stouffville in 2006-07, and improved on those numbers this year.  He had 69 points (19 goals) in 39 games, one point shy of the team lead.  He manned the point on the power play as well, which got him 14 power-play assists, and three power-play goals.  ISS had Trivino ranked at #26. 

Trivino will attend the Canadian National Junior Team development camp.

2007-08: In his second season with the Stouffville Spirit (OPJHL), Trivino recorded 69 points (19+50) in just 39 games. He was selected to play for Team Canada at the World Junior 18-A tournament where he recorded seven points (4+3) in seven games. In post season action with Stouffville, Trivino tallied 22 points (5+17) in 15 games.

2008-09: Trivino saw significant ice time as a freshman for Boston University. In 32 games the Toronto native scored 6 goals with 7 assists and was +10 with 14 PMs as the Terriers won the Hockey East regular season title and defeated Miami in the Frozen Four final to win the national championship.

2009-10: Trivino had a tough sophomore season for Boston University as the Terriers struggled to finish above .500. He suffered a season-ending leg injury in mid-February and finished with 4 goals and 11 assists and was an even plus/minus with 2 PMs in 28 games.

2010-11:Trivino was the third-leading scorer for Boston University as a junior and skated in 37 of 39 games for the Terriers. He scored 8 goals with 20 assists and was +3 with 23 PMs. Despite finishing third in Hockey East, the Terriers were upset by Northeastern in the conference tournament and did not receive an NCAA bid.

After a scorching start to his senior season at Boston University Trivino ran into some serious off-ice issues and was kicked off the team.

Trivino future is up in the air until his legal issues have been settled.

With thirteen picks in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft the probability of the New York Islanders selecting a few gems was pretty high. Almost five years removed from this draft, nine of the 13 players selected have played an NHL game.
