History
Pre NCAA: Glover played for the Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL) where he helped lead the team to a league championship as well as the Doyle Cup and a trip to the Royal Bank Cup Championships. He amassed 19 points (four goals, 15 assists) and 118 penalty minutes. His outstanding season performance also earned him a first team all-star selection.
2003-04: Glover has solid, yet unspectacular rookie campaign at Cornell in the 2003-04 season where he amassed three points (one goal, two assists) playing in 23 games.
2004-05: While his game improved, Glover had hoped to get more ice time in his 2nd season with the Big Red, but that wasn’t the case as he only suited up for 15 games and recorded only 1 assist. He also showed marked improvement in his poise and patience with the puck.
2006-07: Glover has been plagued by injuries throughout his four-year career at Cornell. His senior year got off to a late start due to rehabbing from off-season hip surgery. He made his return to the Big Red lineup on December 29 at the Florida College Classic holiday tournament. He played in 16 games this season, posting just two points (both assists).
Talent Analysis
Glover is a big, powerful defensive defenseman, who is excellent in penalty killing situations. Though he’s not a pretty skater, Glover does get around rink quite well. He is a hard-worker who plays with a lot of determination. Glover is very solid in his own zone, particularly along the boards and in the corners. He also does a very good job of clearing bodies from in front of the net.
Glover’s enormous size (6’3/210) and strength also makes him very effective in containing opposing players and a difficult player to get around. He can deliver some bone-crushing hits and doesn’t shy away from the physical side of the game. He has good puck skills and can make very nice outlet passes. He also possesses a very powerful shot.
Future
His health may be the biggest issue facing Glover as he moves on to the professional ranks.
