History

2007-08: Carle had an enormous season with Shattuck-St. Mary’s High in Minnesota, improving on his numbers from last season by nearly triple. In 61 games he recorded 51 points (13g+38a), which led Tampa to scoop him up in the seventh round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He singed a letter of intent to attend the University of Denver (WCHA) in the fall of 2008. Unfortunately, the D-man was forced to retire from hockey due to a heart condition known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which can suddenly kill athletes without warning.
