History

2006-07: Fredriksson began the season with HV 71, struggling in the 12 games he played with the club. Fredriksson saw limited ice time, and recorded just one assist. He was a minus-5. At the end of October he was loaned out to Vasteras in the Allsvenskan. He played three games with them, and fared marginally better, with an assist and a plus-2 rating. But shortly after his debut with his new team, Fredriksson suffered a knee injury and did not play again.

Talent Analysis

Fredriksson relies on his size to win battles down low and in front of the net. He will get physical, and is tough to knock off the puck. Overall, his offensive instincts are limited, but he plays a reliable two-way game.

Future

The Swedish forward has returned to HV 71 for 2007-08. It doesn’t appear that he has the talent to go much higher than the SEL or the minor leagues in North America.
