History

Dennis Bozic decided to leave Södertälje’s organization after the 06/07 season and joined Linköping. A smart decision, as he has seen an improved development and had an overall strong year in the juniors. Mostly considered a defensive defenseman, Bozic put up 4 goals and 8 assists in 38 regular season games and played several decent international tournaments with the Swedish U18 team.

Talent Analysis

Bozic is “only” 5’11, but plays rather big. His game involves determination and aggressiveness. Furthermore, he is a strong skater that moves the puck with ease. Considering the fact that he has also good hockey sense to go with his mobility, he should be able to contribute offensively to a greater extent in the future.  His shot from the point is good also and there are no major weaknesses in his game, he just needs to gain more experience and fine-tune his existing skills.  Very good attitude and winner’s instinct.

Future

Bozic has signed a SEL contract with Linköping, but will likely serve as the extra defensemen and spend most of his time in the juniors, where he should be pretty dominant.  He will need a couple of years in Sweden before being good enough to cross the pond, but what he has shown far is a lot of promise and potential.
