Selected by the Saskatoon Blades in the 7th round, 110th overall in the 1999 WHL Bantam Draft. Played 7 games with the Blades in 2000-01 as a 16-year-old rookie.

Played his bantam hockey for the Calgary Triple "AAA" Northstars.

Signed as a free agent by the Calgary Flames in 2005.
