History

2006-07: The forward spent the season with Brynas U20 (SuperElit), where he tallied career-highs in goals (10), assists (20) and points (30). His 40 penalty minutes were another career-high for Sandin.

2007-08: This was Sandin’s best hockey season to date, which saw the forward split the season between Brynas’ U20 and top squads. In 28 games in the SuperElit league, he tallied 10 goals and a career-high 35 points. His points (35) and assists (25) were the most in the SuperElit (North), and his +14 was another league best. He also racked up a career-high 50 penalty minutes this season.

2008-09: Another Swede in Ottawa’s system, Sandin, who skates alongside fellow Ottawa prospect Jakob Silfverberg, spent another season in Brynas’ system. This season he appeared in a career-high 53 games with Brynas’ top club in the Elitserien league, netting six goals and 17 points.

2009-10: For a third straight year, Emil dressed for Brynas; this time around, posting 2 goals and 10 assists, a modest step back from his 6 goal season a year prior.

2010-11: Sandin split the year between Brynas in Sweden's Elitserien and Mora IK (Allsvenskan). In 26 games for seventh-place Brynas he had 3 assists and was -3 with 6 PMs. He did not appear in any playoff games. Sandin scored 2 goals with 8 assists and had 10 PMs in 12 games with Mora IK.
 

Future

Sandin, now 23, will play for Rogle in Sweden's second league, Allsvenskan in 2011-12.
