Fredrik Johansson

Prospect Grade: 4.5 B  (About Prospect Grades)

Profile Contributed By: Guy Flaming

History

Fredrik was a member of Frölunda’s J-20 team that won the junior title last season. He then had a more silent role, playing on the 3rd, 4th line. Now Fredrik is one year older and one year stronger.

Johansson was the lone Oiler prospect to go to the WJC in Finland in 2003-04 and he finished 3rd on team scoring for Sweden.

Talent Analysis

Johansson plays a good overall game, but he needs to improve every aspect of the game a little bit. He also has to get stronger and tougher.

Described by the Oilers as someone you don't really notice all the time during a game but at the the contest's conclusion he has a couple of points and is a plus player.

Future

Signed to a North American contract in the summer of 2006 by the Oilers, Johansson will spend 2007-08 in the AHL or else back in the SEL for further development.
