As the Edmonton Oilers begin the club’s most highly-anticipated season in recent memory, Hockey’s Future has a few new names to introduce in this year’s preliminary Top 20. Without needing any preamble, the most notable is Connor McDavid, who has managed to drum up world-wide attention. The Edmonton Oilers acquired Griffin Reinhart from the New York Islanders during the 2015 NHL Draft in exchange for the 16th and 33rd overall picks. The move gives Edmonton a defenseman who is three years further along in his development than if they had used the 16th pick to acquire one.
The Spring edition of the Hockey’s Future ranking of the Top 50 NHL prospects continues with the 11 thru 20 section.
