History
Desbiens played his junior hockey with Rouyn-Noranda of the QMJHL.

2006-07: Played his first year in the AHL. To try to stay in the lineup, he amped up the enforcement side of his resume, but he has the hands for scoring a bit as well. He had nine points and 118 PIMs in 54 games played.
Talent Analysis
Desbiens is a physical forward who hits hard and is more than willing to drop the gloves. He has decent hands and is hard to move from the front of the net.
His skating must improve significantly for his potential as a fourth liner in the NHL to be realized.
