History
2008-09: In his second season with UMass-Amherst(H-East), James Marcou scored 15 goals and added 32 assists in just 39 games. The small winger also added 34 PIMs.
2009-10: After completing his junior season at UMass-Lowell, where he posted 11 goals and 40 assists in 36 games, Marcou signed a two-year entry-level deal with the San Jose Sharks. He was then assigned to the Sharks AHL affiliate where he posted 1 goal and 2 assists in four games.
2010-11: Marcou was in the process of making the transition from winger to center during his first pro season with the AHL's Worcester Sharks when he suffered a season-ending head injury in January. In 41 games for the Sharks he scored 4 goals with 15 assists and was -12 with 18 PMs. Worcester missed the playoffs, finishing three points behind Connecticut for the final spot.
