History
2006-07: After a decent first year, the points started to come for Allard in 2006-07, as the big pivot notched 38 assists and 50 points in 69 games. Allard scored five assists against Shawinigan on Feb 14th, 2007. His stock fell rapidly leading up to the 2007 draft as he was once deemed a potential second rounder. Allard's inconsistent play and an abysmal -30 over the regular season did not help his cause. His -4 in four playoff games sealed his fate.
2007-08: In his third season with St. John’s (QMJHL), Allard recorded 60 points (16+44) in 67 games.
Talent Analysis
Allard is a big forward who can skate, and has worked to improve his overall consistency and effort as a defensive player. He has very good hands and vision. Despite slipping in the draft, he still has a good deal of potential, and has emerged as a player who can reliably set up his teammates.
Future
Allard has not been signed by the Sabres, and will go back into the draft.
