2006-07: Played extremely well with Frolunda in the SEL last season. He actually ended up being better statistically for the Indians over veteran netminder Tommy Salo. Posted a 2.58 goals-against-average and a .897 save percentage in 35 games played. Played for Team Sweden at the WJC.

2007-08: Played his third season with the Frolunda Indians in the SEL. He shined when he joined the under-20 team, but struggled for the big club in the Elitserien. The Indians had a bad year, which prompted a coaching change and left Gistedt on the outside looking in. Playing as a back-up, the netminder’s numbers ballooned a bit, as he posted a 3.84 goals-against-average and a .857 save percentage in 11 games. At the conclusion of the season, Gistedt signed on with the Coyotes.

2008-09: Playing for the Arizona Sundogs of the CHL, Gistedt posted a 10-15-1 record, a 4.15 GAA, a .873 save percentage. He also made one appearance for the San Antonio Rampage where he allowed 2 goals on 9 shots in 20 minutes of play.

2009-10: Posted a 7-8-2 record with the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL. Registered a 4.06 GAA and a .874 save percentage.
