History

2003-04: Played for Sioux City of the USHL. Scored seven points in seven games before falling to Tri-City in the Western Division Finals. Will attend Univ. of Minnesota-Duluth in the fall.

2004-05: Experienced an up and down season with Minnesota-Duluth. With six points in the first six games, including a two goal effort against Notre Dame, Curry appeared to be on the fast-track to stardom as a freshman. However, inconsistency and effort issues kept Curry out of the line-up as the season progressed. He would finish with just three points in his last 16 games.

2005-06: Curry had a disappointing season, with only five points in 36 games. Relegated to the fourth line, Curry's ice time was nearly non-existent. Other forwards have leaped over Curry in Minnesota-Duluth's depth chart and there is no relief in sight.

2006-07: While Curry has increased his production in his junior year with Minnesota-Duluth, he still only scored three goals and 14 points in 36 games.  Saw relatively limited ice-time on the third and fourth lines for Minnesota-Duluth and is likely to stay in that role next season.

Talent Analysis

Curry has a large frame that can stand to carry a few more pounds, especially for his physical style of game. Good on his skates with some skills. Curry is a late round project. He has great developing tools - plays physical and can skate - but he needs to learn consistency.

Future

Going to a strong college program in Minnesota-Duluth that will give him a full four years to recognize his talents. At this stage in his development, he does not project much further than a fourth line grinding forward. Needs to progress and show consistency or Curry may never even make it to the AHL.
