History

2005-06: In his senior year at Breck High School, the offensively charged forward potted 45 goals to go along 36 assists in just 28 games for the Mustangs. Fulton’s performance would earn him a scholarship to the University of Minnesota-Duluth in the upcoming season. The Flames would make Fulton their sixth round selection, 179th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

2006-07: In his freshman year with the UMD Bulldogs, Fulton would become teammates with two highly regarded prospects, in Matt Niskanen (DAL) and Mason Raymond (VAN). The Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, native recorded 10 points (3G, 7A) in 38 games, which tied for first among UMD freshmen. Unfortunately for Fulton, the Bulldogs would not qualify for the 2007 Frozen Four Tournament.

2007-08: Fulton dodged the dreaded sophomore jinx last winter and wound up setting career highs in virtually ever statistical category. He tied for fourth in the 2007-08 Bulldog scoring race with five goals and nine assists. He was deployed on the Bulldogs’ No. 2 power play unit for the second year in a row and had one man advantage goal to show for it.

Talent Analysis

Displayed high-end offensive skill in high school, however his scoring touch has not yet been reproduced in the college ranks.  Projects as more of a checker.
