Jordan Fulton
History
2005-06: In his senior year at Breck High School, the offensively charged forward potted 45 goals to go along 36 assists in just 28 games for the Mustangs. Fulton’s performance would earn him a scholarship to the University of Minnesota-Duluth in the upcoming season. The Flames would make Fulton their sixth round selection, 179th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
2006-07: In his freshman year with the UMD Bulldogs, Fulton would become teammates with two highly regarded prospects, in Matt Niskanen (DAL) and Mason Raymond (VAN). The Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, native recorded 10 points (3G, 7A) in 38 games, which tied for first among UMD freshmen. Unfortunately for Fulton, the Bulldogs would not qualify for the 2007 Frozen Four Tournament.
2007-08: At the completion of Fulton’s sophomore season at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, he finished tied for fourth amongst the team with 14 points (5G, 9A) in 36 games. He also had the highest point total for Bulldog sophomores. The UMD Bulldogs, for the fourth consecutive year find themselves on the outside looking in at the NCAA Frozen Four Tournament.
Talent Analysis
The 6’1 191 lb center displayed high end offensive skill in high school, however his scoring touch has not yet been reproduced in the college ranks.
Future
Should continue to round out his game next year with the UMD Bulldogs, and hopefully light the lamp a little more frequently.
