2006-07: Started the season with the Soo Indian Midgets in the MWEHL. Selected by the Sioux City Musketeers in the 2006 USHL Entry Draft with the 12th overall pick. Received an immediate call-up from Sioux City and joined the team in October. Was the youngest player in the history of the Musketeers to win a game in goal at only 16 years of age.
2007-08: Returned for his first full season with the Musketeers. He started off strong, earning a nomination to the Western Division team for the USHL Prospects/All-Star Game. Played for Team USA at the 2007 World Junior A Challenge. Hit a rough spell but was able to bounce back and has been the driving force for the Musketeers postseason push.
Robinson is very quick, has a good glove hand and his lateral movement is very good. His rebound placement is really good with pucks in front of him as well as deflecting pucks out to the sides. He is very competitive, works very hard both on and off the ice, is very disciplined and wants to be that go to guy. He is very level headed and is good about working through tough situation and coming back strong. He is a good decision maker with the puck but it has been expressed that he could do a better with his stickhandling He doesn’t use his stick all that much when it comes to playing the puck or delivering poke checks. He could also work on his angles and moving up to challenge shooters.
