The Rangers signed Soryal as a free agent after he completed four years of junior hockey as a member of the OHL Peterborough Petes.

A big tough winger, Soryal loves to hit and plays the role of protector of the more skilled players.

Although Soryal has the potential of a third-line player, he is more likely to be a borderline tough guy in the NHL.
