History

Kevin Jarman had an up and down first year for the Minutemen in 2003-04. The speedy left winger had most of his scoring success on the power play, recording three of his four goals on the man advantage. All of the goals were scored by November 28th, meaning he didn’t find the back of the net through the final 21 games of the season. Jarman was strong in the postseason playing on a high energy line with Capitals prospect Steven Werner and team captain Mike Warner. He registered four assists in four games.

2005-06: After a very successful sophomore campaign, Jarman struggled offensively in his junior season. He posted just seven points (one goal, six assists) in 29 games. His lone goal of the season (and his most memorable performance) came back on November 25, 2005 in the Minutemen’s 4-3 win over Colorado College.

Selected in the 4th round, 103rd overall in the 2003 Entry Draft

Talent Analysis

Jarman is a very physical forward with excellent size and speed. He is a fierce competitor who uses his size and strength to great advantage, particularly in protecting the puck. Jarman is outstanding along the boards and in the corners. He is also able to create chaos in and around the opposition’s net. Jarman drives hard to the net and has shown a willingness to take the punishment in front of the net to make or finish plays. One of Jarman’s best assets is his skating. He has excellent speed and combines it with nice powerful strides. He has demonstrated solid defensive play as well. Jarman has also shown that he can be the perennial thorn in the opposition’s side, often making defending against him a very difficult task for opposing teams.
