History

Podlesak began his WHL career in 2000 with the Tri-City Americans… Was dealt to the Hurricanes mid-way through the year….The Pheonix Coyotes selected him in the second round of the 2001 NHl Entry Draft…Podlesak had a great showing in Coyotes camp but was eventually sent back to the Canes.

Talent Analysis
Standing at 6"5 he can intimidate the opponent with his size. Not very many people can push him off of the puck. Has fairly good speed for a guy his size and uses it effectively on the forecheck and backcheck. His defensive game has continued to improve all season long and is developing into a good two-way power forward.
Future
He won't be a 1st liner in the NHL but a regular shift on a second line is very possible. His size and all-round game will get him to the NHL, his skills will be the key factor in where he plays. Could be used effectively in front of the net on the Coyotes power-play in a couple of years.
