History

The Panthers used a second fourth-round selection to pick defenseman Matt Duffy, 104th overall in 2005.

A member of the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs of the EJHL prior to college.

2006-07: As a sophomore did a solid job on the Maine blue line this season.

2007-08: Solid again, a reliable defensive presence. Tallied six goals and two assists.  

2008-09: Senior season at Maine, scored 17 points.  Turned pro at the end of the year, playing with Rochester and the ECHL Florida Everblades.

Talent Analysis

Duffy has good size and speed and makes a good outlet pass.  Plays on the power play as well as providing a physical presence with heavy hits.
