2006-07: Fillier grinded his way to 36 points in 63 games for St. John’s of the QMJHL and a stout 118 penalty minutes.
2007-08: One of the league leaders in penalty minutes, Matt Fillier provided enforcer duties for St. John’s of the QMJHL. Contributing a point from time to time, Fillier spent the majority of his time in the penalty box protecting his teammates.
