2009-10: Matt McNeely played for the U.S. NTDP program, splitting his time between the U-17 club and the NTDP squad playing in the USHL. In 32 games for the U-17 squad, McNeely posted a 4.16 goals-against average and a .886 save percentage. In 20 games for the USHL squad, McNeely compiled a 4.65 goals-against average, a .885 save percentage, and a 2-15-3 record. McNeely played for the USA's gold medal team at the 2010 World U-17 Hockey Challenge, where he posted a 2.93 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage in 3 games.
2010-11: In 9 games for the U.S. NTDP's USHL team, McNeely turned in a 3.34 goals-against average, a .903 save percentage, and a 3-4-1 record. McNeely played for the USA's gold medal squad at the 2011 U-18 World Junior Championship, finishing with a 5.17 goals-against average and a .800 save percentage in his one appearance. McNeely will attend the University of Minnesota-Duluth beginning in the fall of 2011.
