Tkachuk played for Team USA at the 2014 World U17 Hockey Challenge, where he scored three goals and added four assists in six games for the gold medal-winning U.S. squad.

2014-15: In his second season with the NTDP team, Tkachuk played for the USHL and U18 squads. In 24 USHL games, he scored 13 goals and added 20 assists for 33 points. In 65 games for the U18 squad, Tkachuk scored 38 goals and added 58 assists for 96 points to go along with 119 penalty minutes. Tkachuk also competed for Team USA at the 2015 U18 World Championship, where he picked two goals and 10 assists in seven games to go along with a gold medal.

2015-16: Tkachuk, who was chosen in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection by the London Knights, joined that team prior to the season. Tkachuk captained Team Orr at the 2016 CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game but was scoreless in his team’s 3-2 win. Tkachuk and his London Knights teammates won the 2016 OHL Championship, then followed that up by winning the 2016 Memorial Cup in late May. The 2015-16 season preview for the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) wraps up with the Midwest Division in the league’s Western Conference.

The defending division champs, the Erie Otters, won the division going away in 2014-15, racking up 104 points which was 20 points more than the runner-up London Knights. Of course, that team featured at attack that included Connor McDavid and Dylan Strome, the first and third picks in the 2015 NHL Draft. At least one of those two will not be back in the fold in 2015-16, and a loss of both could make a second straight division title a difficult proposition. Read more»
