2006-07: Named the Ontario Hockey Association Junior B Player of the Year and the league’s MVP for 2006-07, Campbell was the first player the Rangers have chosen out of Junior B in recent memory. With 95 points in 46 games, Campbell was second in the league in scoring and first among all players in power play goals (23).
2007-08: Campbell spent the 2007-08 season with the Broncos of Western Michigan University. The center was second on the team in total points and led all rookies in scoring for the year.
A highly skilled player with good hockey sense and a nose for the net, Cambell has a lot of upside.
"Max seems to excel in pressure situations. He has consistently shown the ability to make the big play when the game is on the line."-- Rich Brown, NY Rangers Amateur Scout.
In danger of becoming a specialty player, to succed at the next level, Campbell will need to better round his game.
Campbell has high-end puck skills and the potential to become a second line forward.
